Explanation: 
LVP is about 3 times heavier than a standard comfort flex floor due to being made of hard vinyl plank material for the wear layer. This makes them extra durable and puncture proof and scratch resistant!

Because of their weight, LVP tile floors that are 10×20 and above must ship via LTL freight. If you would like cases, they also require twice the number of case capacity that a regular comfort flex tile floor would.

For example, a 10×10 LVP floor would require a 10×20 case. Another example, a 20’x20’ floor would require (2) 20’x20’ cases. This double case capacity is needed for LVP floors otherwise the cases would warp under the weight.

Here are LVP floor weights of the tiles on their own:

• 10’x10’ floor – 150 lbs
• 10’x20’ floor – 300 lbs
• 10’x30’ floor – 450 lbs
• 20’x20’ floor – 600 lbs
• And so on.

A 10’x10’ floor is able to ship ground in (5) special heavy duty boxes, however we can also ship them on a pallet via LTL for a similar price.
